Milton Township Modernizes Communication to Better Serve Residents
Wheaton, IL – June 1, 2026 – This spring, Milton Township has embraced modern technology with the introduction of a new website and mobile app, making it easier for residents to access information about available services.
In a statement by Township Supervisor Higgins-Beard, "We’re excited to offer these updated digital tools, which will streamline previous challenges and provide our residents with quick and easy access to the information they need." The Township is dedicated to improving service delivery and educating about available resources through these innovative digital platforms.
New Website Features
Residents can now enjoy new features, including fresh written and visual content, an interactive calendar, cost saving news delivered digitally and video portals, as well as forums that allow them to engage directly on the pages they are exploring. Additionally, the site includes a sign-up feature that allows residents to receive notifications whenever a webpage relevant to them, is updated.
New App Features
Milton Township is also thrilled to announce the rebranding of its mobile app. Formerly known as the MTHD (Milton Township Highway Department) app, it will now be called MT.IL, reflecting its expanded purpose and commitment to serving the entire community. The refreshed app offers timely updates and information, ensuring residents stay informed about local developments. Additional services include requesting medical equipment loans and weed ordinance concern reporting.
New Tools for Use
Residents are encouraged to explore these new digital tools and engage with the various township initiatives crafted to enhance their livelihoods. With these advancements, Milton Township aims to foster a more connected and informed community. Milton Township doesn’t just want you to interact with the website and app but to also give feedback.
