Nourish. Support. Empower.
The Milton Township Food Pantry began with a simple idea: neighbors helping neighbors. In its earliest days, the pantry was small—run by a handful of committed volunteers, a few shelves of donated food, and a deep belief that no one in the community should go hungry. What it lacked in size, it made up for in heart. These acts of kindness from Milton Township office staff have grown into a separate organization, incorporated in 2002 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit by the IRS. The Pantry’s supplies are entirely supported by donations from the community – no tax dollars are used, and donations are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Today, the Milton Township Food Pantry offers a client choice model, giving residents dignity and control over their food selections. They provide healthy, nutritious, fresh, shelf-stable, and frozen foods, plus personal hygiene supplies.

Impact Snapshot: Donations From Community Gardens
Milton Township truly shows its heart when neighbors step outside, dig into their gardens, and share the harvest with others. Throughout the growing season, residents generously donate fresh vegetables they’ve carefully grown themselves—a variety of peppers, ripe tomatoes, squash, and more—straight to the food pantry. These homegrown donations do more than provide healthy meals; they bring a sense of care, pride, and connection to every family served. Each basket of vegetables is a reminder that this community looks out for one another, turning backyard gardens into a shared table where everyone is welcome.
