Milton Township Road District
The Highway Department is responsible for maintaining all of the accepted roads and road rights of way in the unincorporated areas of Milton Township.
Located in the center of DuPage County, Illinois, the Milton Township Highway Commissioner’s jurisdiction includes parts of Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Carol Stream, Lombard, Glendale Heights, and Winfield in the unincorporated areas of DuPage County.
Currently, Milton Township Highway Department maintains over 80 centerline miles (160 lane miles) of accepted roads and rights of way.
The goal of Highway Commissioner Mike Drew is to maintain all of the accepted streets in the unincorporated areas of the Township in a manner fair and equal to all.
The Milton Township Highway Department is currently advancing the Highway Department to better serve our unincorporated residents. The Highway Department’s website, miltonhighway.org, is your go-to source for: applicable construction permit applications, reporting a concern, requesting a bond release, and finding resources for block parties, recycling, and brush pick-up, plus more! You can also download their new MTHD IL app to report issues and requests services.
If you have any questions regarding your street, please feel free to contact our office at 630-682-4270. The Milton Township Highway Department's office hours are Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Fridays, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Calls of an emergency nature, after regular business hours, can be directed to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department.
