Shannon Hartnett
Shannon Hartnett is a nonprofit and behavioral health leader with extensive experience advancing community-based mental health, youth services, and justice system initiatives throughout the Chicago suburban region. She is recognized for building strategic partnerships across healthcare, education, law enforcement, local government, and human services to improve access to care and strengthen community well-being. She is currently the Executive Director of NuPAGE Communities, formerly Northeast DuPage Family and Youth Services.
Throughout her career, Shannon has led efforts to expand behavioral health services, develop innovative cross-sector collaborations, and implement systems that improve outcomes for youth, families, and communities. Her work focuses on creating responsive, trauma-informed solutions that bridge service gaps and increase access to support for those most in need.
Since 2021, Shannon has served as President of the Milton Township Community Mental Health Board, helping guide community investments in mental health, substance use, and developmental disability services. She is a frequent collaborator with regional stakeholders on initiatives related to behavioral health, crisis response, youth development, and community safety.
In 2023, she received the Liberty Bell Award from the DuPage County Bar Association, recognizing her contributions to strengthening community partnerships and the justice system.
Prior to her nonprofit leadership career, Shannon supervised the Juvenile Diversion and Victims Services Unit for the 18th Judicial Circuit Department of Probation and Court Services.
