Milton Township Cares for our Veterans
- Milton Township offers a Veterans Honor Wall that is on display at our Township building. Whether you are a Veteran yourself or know of a Veteran who you believe deserves this honor, a new Veteran’s Honor Wall is within the Township building. Your name, branch of service, and rank will be engraved onto a metal placard that will hang directly on the wall in the multi-purpose room at the Township. Many people walk through this room daily.
- We are a resource for Financial Assistance. Veterans who are struggling financially are encouraged to make an appointment to apply for help with rent/mortgage or utilities. The application can be found here.
- Veterans are always welcome at our food pantry. We currently serve Veterans in the Milton Township Food Pantry and ensure that they have what they need.
- Our Milton Township Cemetery Authority cares for three historic cemeteries, proudly serving as the final resting places for many of our honored Veterans.
- Should we be unable to assist a Veteran, we remain committed to connecting them with a resource that can. Local governments like Milton Township are a valuable resource for residents because we can help solve local problems, as local people are best suited to address them. As a level of government close to the people, Milton Township is a critical resource, uniquely positioned to quickly respond to local challenges with the experience only local people possess.
